Expedition

At Bronze level, we will be doing a 2-day walking and 1 night camping Expedition. At Bronze level, it is typical this section is done by foot/walking but there are other options available. Currently, we have employed the use of a local training provider to complete the Expedition Section, and the price of the Expedition section and enrol to the Duke of Edinburgh Award is included in the price.

At Bronze Level, we current offer the Expedition weekend as:

  • Training Weekend
  • Qualifying Weekend

Typically, this section is done by foot/walking but there are other options available, and you will be walking in a group which consists of between 4-7 people. The expedition must be completed by your own physical efforts, with minimal external interventions and without motorised assistance (special cases will be addressed on a case by case basis) (and the weekends cannot be split up into small), and all groups are remotely supervised by members of the training provider and by Sir Graham Balfour Staff. On the Qualifying weekend, you will be assessed by the Duke of Edinburgh Award 20 conditions
